SNOW

Lots of snow= lots of fun. In Columbia, we don't ever get a lot of snow. However, a surprise storm gave us close to 8 inches! Here is Carlisle right when it began snowing.yesterday He wasn't sure what was going on:

This morning, we decided to go out and play in all that snow. Carlisle seems pretty excited about the prospect.

And here he is in his first snow. He seemed to like it.

This is a shot of our street this morning. It was absolutely beautiful.

What a week

This week has been "one of those weeks" as they say. Vance and I both had severe stomach bugs at the beginning of the week, and Carlisle had another double ear infection (which meant two trips to the pediatrician) which was causing him to throw up. He may have also had a stomach bug- not real sure. Needless to say, its been a super long, exhausting week. Yesterday, we went to the ENT due to Carlisle's constant ear infections. The ENT kindly explained that Carlisle needed tubes and we could do them in the office right then or we could put him under and have the procedure done. We opted to go ahead with the procedure right then. The ENT then took Carlisle down the hall, we heard screaming for about 5 minutes (although I think this is mostly due to the fact they strapped him down to do the procedure), and then they brought my sweet boy back, who was red and crying. However, after about 10 minutes, he was okay and went right to sleep. When he woke up from his nap, he was a little fussy, but I think its because he is teething, not so much because of his ears. This morning, he was his normal, smiley self. Hopefully, Carlisle will be in the 80-90 percent for which the tubes work and the tubes will end these ear infections.

I will post pictures later- Carlisle is doing great on sitting up!

6 Month Stats

Just got back from our 6 month check up. Here are his stats:

Weight: 16 pounds 10 ounces, which is the 25th percentile

Height: 28 1/4 inches, which is the 95th percentile

Head Circumference: 17 1/2 inches, which is the 70th percentile.

Carlisle looked good and got a good report overall. There was fluid behind his ears- not yet an infection, but something we've got to watch. We might be headed to the ENT if this doesn't get better because we have had so many issues with his ears.

Carlisle still has no teeth. Dr. Trey looked and said they should be coming soon. He is drooling like crazy- I thought for sure we would have seen them by now.

Carlisle handled his shots pretty well. He screamed and then immediately stopped once it was over. He then took his pacifer and passed out. I was very proud of my little guy.

Vance and I invested in a Flip video thing. I will have some video to post, hopefully tonight!
