Thanksgiving and First Hair Cut

We and a wonderful holiday. Carlisle had a good time seeing family! He also got his first hair cut!

Carlisle and his cousin DJ had a blast playing with a talking pumpkin that split into two pieces (as Carlisle has been throwing it around the house for awhile):

Carlisle did a great job getting his hair cut. He was very excited that they served animal cookies!

Here were a couple of "before" shots. His hair needed to be trimmed!

Video update

After church today, Carlisle was exhausted, but he needed to eat his lunch before a nap. I put him in his chair, gave him his food, and then turned around for a second. When I turned back around, this is what I saw. [note- his bib says "my uncle is hot, and single" in honor of his uncle josh.]

15 Month Update and Latest Happenings

Its been a while since I have posted. Carlisle is walking great and is all over the place. We had his 15 month check up on Monday. Here were his stats:

Weight: 23 lbs. (25th percentile)

Height: 31 1/4 inches (50-75th percentile)

Head Circumference: 19 inches (50th percentile)

Carlisle got a good report from the doctor. Additionally, since having his adenoids removed and a new set of tubes put in, he has not had a single ear infection!!!

His favorite activities include playing/throwing his tennis ball, walking up and down the driveway, coloring, opening/closing his cabinet doors, playing with his shoes, putting pots/pans on his head, and chasing Raleigh.

Halloween was a lot of fun even though I don't think Carlilse quite understood what was going on. Early in October we went to the Pumpkin Patch at our church with Henry. The boys were near impossible to photograph! We also went to a fall festival and trick or treating. Carlisle made it to two houses before he was over trick or treating and decided he would rather sit and play in the grass of our neighbors yard.

Here are the latest pictures:

Carlisle was a spider for Halloween:

Henry (a skunk), Ward (a tiger), and Carlisle (a spider). It was nearly impossible to get all the boys to sit down for a picture.

School Pictures

Carlisle had his school pictures yesterday. We haven't gotten the proofs back yesterday, but apparently, they did not go that well. Luckily, I snapped a couple of him before school just in case...

14 Months

Carlisle turned 14 months old yesterday. He is moving all over the place and has started walking by himself. Its extremely difficult to get on video because he usually just stops and stares at the camera.
Here is my "best" video of him walking:

Surgery Update

Carlisle had a new set of tubes put in and his adenoids removed yesterday. He did he really good, the surgery went well, and other than being mad when they woke him up after the procedure, he has not really acted like he just had surgery.

He slept through the night and is in great spirits this morning.

Thank you to all for the thoughts and prayers.

Latest Happenings

Its been awhile since my last post, and Carlisle is growing and changing so fast. We spent a few days at the beach Labor day weekend, and Carlisle took his first boat ride on Lake Murray on Labor Day with his friend Henry. He loves the water and sand and enjoyed cruising on the boat.

Carlisle's ears- well, after suffering yet another ear infection, we've been to the ENT who recommended Carlisle get another set of tubes and have his adenoids removed. He is having this done on Wednesday, so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Carlisle is walking more and more. I need to get it on video, but every time we pull the video camera out, he just stops and stares. He is nervous to let go of your hand, but if he isn't really paying attention he walks 10-15 steps without realizing it. I am expecting him to let go and just take off any minute.

Carlisle's favorite toys right now are the following: a rocking horse at school, pots and pans, his melissa and doug puzzle that makes animal noises, and books. His favorite activities include riding in the stroller (or shopping cart at Target), being pushed around in his wagon, swinging on Henry's swingset, or sitting in his rocking chair by himself having the chair rocked. We may have to start hiding his stroller because he has started to try and climb into it when he sees it and then whines when we try to remove him from it.

Here are couple of pictures:
